Our Philosophy

Silk & Saffron was borne out of a love of mixing things! It started as a young girl making mud pies and combining all her mom’s perfume into a unique, one of a kind fragrance. Over the years the passion for making and creating grew and eventually, Silk & Saffron came about in 2020.

First up was a simple hand scrub with salts and oils which evolved into a self-taught passion for formulating with nourishing, luxurious, fragrant ingredients in order to create a range of unique, sophisticated bath and body products, ideal for gifting or spoiling oneself - locally made, handcrafted, vegan, recyclable.

We are inspired by the idea that luxury should not only be seen, but felt - through textures, fragrance, packaging. We want our customers to look forward to opening a jar of body lotion or gliding a fragrant bar of soap over their skin.

At the heart of our philosophy is the belief that each product should bring a sense of indulgence, delight, luxury and pleasure, whether purchased as a meaningful gift or a personal treat.
